JBFM SERIES
Metal-Seated Floating Ball Valve
JDV is proud to offer the JBFM Series Metal-Seated Floating Ball Valve, engineered for severe service applications requiring reliable shutoff under demanding operating conditions. Available in ASME Classes 150 through 2500, the JBFM is designed for service temperatures ranging from cryogenic -320°F (-196°C) to high-temperature +1,000°F (538°C).
Designed in accordance with API 608 as standard, with API 6D available as an option, the JBFM combines advanced engineering with durable metal-seated construction for demanding media and applications including catalyst handling, steam, and other severe service conditions.
The JBFM was developed using Computer-Aided Drafting & Design, Finite Element Analysis, prototyping, and extensive design testing at JDV’s Research & Development Center. The result is a robust, feature-rich severe service floating ball valve designed to deliver dependable performance in challenging applications.

Take a Look Inside!
Severe Service Applications
The JBFM Series is designed for demanding process conditions where conventional soft-seated valves may not provide the required temperature, wear, or shutoff performance. Its metal-seated construction and available HVOF-coated trim make it well suited for severe service applications involving catalyst handling, steam, extreme temperatures, and other challenging process media.
With a temperature range from -320°F (-196°C) to +1,000°F (538°C), the JBFM can be specified for both cryogenic and high-temperature metal-seated ball valve applications.
Features & Benefits
Advanced Coating Technologies

- The JBFM is available as an HVOF-coated metal-seated valve using Chromium Carbide, with Tungsten Carbide also available. The HVOF coating is applied using advanced technologies to provide durable wear surfaces and long-lasting performance in severe service conditions.
- QPQ Nitrided Trim is also available as an economical option for lower-cycle, less challenging applications.
Quick Switch Module Design

Allows for easy conversion between manual operation, gear operators, and actuators using off-the-shelf interchangeable components.
Robust Seat Design

Superior surface finishes, precise dimensional control, and a robust metal seat design enable the JBFM to provide reliable shutoff across a broad range of severe service applications and demanding process conditions.
